Colour-Coded Hydraulic O-Rings: Keep Identification Separate from Compound Selection

Use a colour-coded part list to distinguish assembly positions or maintenance items. Confirm that the requested pigment and compound combination meets the agreed hydraulic duty; rings with the same colour may have different materials and hardness.

Provide quantities by part code and confirm tooling, sample requirements and delivery with the quotation. ISO 9001 concerns the quality management system; special gas-service suitability must be confirmed for the selected compound and application.

Royal Way custom coloured rubber O-rings are specified by dimensions, compound grade and hydraulic duty. Provide the inside diameter and cross-section, or an exact standard size reference, together with the target hardness. For colour-coded hydraulic parts, agree the identification purpose and approval sample while keeping the compound specification with the part number.

Application of the rubber o ring:

For hydraulic joints and equipment in oil and gas operations, specify the actual fluid, temperature, pressure and static or moving gland. Colour is an identification aid and does not prove oil resistance or interchangeability. Do not assume EPDM is suitable for petroleum oil; select every compound against the service fluid. Sour-gas and rapid gas decompression duty require separate compound qualification.
